Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Rankwize ("Rankwize," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit rankwize.io, sign up for an account, or use our AI visibility monitoring, diagnosis, and optimization service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. Name, work email, password hash, company name, and role when you register or are invited to a workspace.
• Billing information. Plan selection, billing address, and last four digits of your payment method. Full card data is collected and stored by our payment processor (Stripe), not by Rankwize.
• Workspace and project data. Domains, competitor domains, prompts, keywords, and configuration you submit to monitor or diagnose.
• Connected service data. If you connect Google Search Console, we receive read-only access to query, page, country, and device performance data for the properties you authorize. We do not modify your Search Console data and we do not access properties you have not authorized.
• Generated content. Reports, scoring outputs, briefs, and other artifacts the Service produces from your inputs.
• Usage and device information. IP address, browser, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, timestamps, and basic interaction events used for product analytics, security, and abuse prevention.
• Communications. Records of support requests, sales inquiries, and other messages you send us.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service;
• Run AI visibility checks, diagnostic scoring, and brief generation against the inputs you provide;
• Process payments, manage subscriptions, and send billing notices;
• Communicate about your account, security alerts, and material changes to the Service;
• Send product announcements, onboarding tips, and marketing emails (you can unsubscribe at any time);
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
• Comply with our legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your workspace data, prompts, or connected Search Console data to train third-party large language models.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use a small number of first-party cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences (such as light or dark theme), and measure aggregate product usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may break sign-in or other features that rely on session state.

4. Third-Party Services and Subprocessors

We share information with vendors that help us operate the Service. These vendors are bound by contract to use the data only to provide services to Rankwize:

• Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and DDoS protection for rankwize.io.
• Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
• Google (Search Console API) — only when you connect a Search Console property; access is read-only and limited to the properties you authorize.
• DataForSEO — keyword, autocomplete, SERP, and People Also Ask data used to validate prompt demand.
• AI model providers (including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Perplexity) — we send the prompts and context required to query their answer engines on your behalf. We rely on each provider's enterprise or API terms, which prohibit using API inputs to train their models by default.
• Email and support tooling — used to send transactional and marketing email and to respond to support requests.
• Product analytics and error monitoring — used to measure product usage and diagnose bugs.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect Rankwize's rights or users' safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy).

5. Data Retention

We retain account, workspace, and billing information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account and associated workspace data at any time by emailing support@rankwize.io. Backups containing residual data are purged on a rolling schedule.

6. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including TLS in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, access controls, and audit logging — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

7. International Transfers

Rankwize is based in the United States, and information we collect is processed in the United States and in other countries where our subprocessors operate. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms to protect personal information transferred from outside the United States.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to processing or withdraw consent. Residents of California, the EEA, the United Kingdom, and similar jurisdictions have additional rights under applicable law, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email support@rankwize.io. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you by email or through the Service before the changes take effect.
